23-Year-Old With Anti-India Messages Kills Two Students Before Taking Own Life

| Updated: August 28, 2025 14:16

A 23-year-old transgender person Robin Westman opened fire on children attending a church service at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Two students died in the ghastly episode.

According to reports, Westman was armed with a rifle, shotgun, and pistol.

Westman reportedly fired dozens of rounds before being found dead in a parking lot.

Authorities believe a self-inflicted gunshot wound resulted in his death.

Court documents reveal that Westman was originally named Robert. He changed the name in 2020 after reportedly identifying as female. Officials confirmed that Westman had no known criminal history, acted alone, and had legally purchased the weapons.

A now-deleted YouTube channel titled Robin W featured at least two disturbing videos posted prior to the shooting, reports revealed.

The first video, roughly ten minutes long and recorded on a mobile phone, displayed a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and loaded magazines. Among the messages scrawled on the magazines were “Kill Donald Trump,” “kill Trump now,” “Israel must fall,” and “Burn Israel.” One weapon bore the phrase “Nuke India.”

Other inscriptions included “Where is your God?” and “for the children.” Several magazines had the names of previous school shooters scribbled on them, some messages appearing in Cyrillic script. At one point in the video, Westman held up a smaller firearm and stated, “This one is for me. In case I need it.” The video also included a letter addressed to Westman’s family, offering an apology for the impact the shooting would have on them.

The second video, close to 20 minutes in length, featured two journals. The first contained over 150 pages, entirely written in what appeared to be Cyrillic. The second journal, also in Cyrillic, spanned more than 60 pages and had its final entry dated 8-21-25.

A post from the account Leftism (@LeftismForU) on August 27, 2025, identified Robin Westman as the Minneapolis Catholic school shooter. The post described Westman as a biological male who identified as a transgender “woman.” The post included screenshots showing messages written on the firearms and magazines, including “kill Trump now,” “6 million was not enough” (a reference to the Holocaust), “for the children,” and “I’m…”

US Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem verified the authenticity of the videos, stating that the “deeply sick murderer scrawled” phrases such as ‘For the Children,’ ‘Where is your God?’ and ‘Kill Donald Trump’ on the rifle magazine. “This level of violence is unthinkable,” she wrote on X.

In another post, Noem added: “We have confirmation that the shooter at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, MN was a 23 year-old man, claiming to be transgender. This deranged monster targeted our most vulnerable: young children praying in their first morning Mass of the school year.”

US President Donald Trump ordered the US flag to be flown at half-staff as a mark of mourning. Reports claim it was the 146th such incident in the US since January.
