Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s general secretary Gagandeep Singh Chadha, who had been struggling with heart problems for a long time, passed away yesterday. In March last year, he had undergone heart surgery at the AIIMS Hospital in Delhi.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led party condoled the untimely death of a popular leader. In a tweet, the party said, “The General Secretary, Chadha Gagan of AAP Punjab has passed away untimely. We pray to the almighty to grant him a place at the feet of Shri Charan and give courage to his family in this time of sorrow. AAP family will never forget his contribution.”
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also posted a tweet and expressed grief at the demise of Chadha. He said that the entire party was with the family in this difficult time. he said, “I can’t believe that our comrade militant volunteer, party state secretary Gaggandeep Singh Chadha, who played a pivotal role in building our organization in Punjab, is no longer with us. May God grant strength to the family.”
