Seven years have passed since Salman Khan’s blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released and ingrained in people’s hearts. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film was one of the most popular movies Salman Khan has featured in. The film collected a whopping amount of Rs 920 Crore, making it one of the top grosser of the year 2015. Reportedly, Salman Khan is already preparing for the sequel of this cult, which will allegedly be titled ‘Pawan Putra Bhaijaan’ and it will be written by KV Vijayendra Prasad (writer of the magnum Opus Baahubali ) and directed by Kabir Khan.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’s story will see an ‘8 to 10-year’ leap, according to Prasad. Further, the writer revealed that the basic idea of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 is locked and approved by Salman Khan himself.
Prasad also confirmed that the next part will be a continuation of the first part. He said, ” Yes, the story takes an 8 to 10-year leap in Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, I am hopeful that the sequel will be no lesser than the first part.”
Interestingly, not many people know are aware that earlier, ace director SS Rajamouli wanted to direct Bajrangi Bhaijaan, but that never happened.
Rajamouli in an interview revealed that “Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said ‘Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a glittery situation then. Had you asked me 10 days before or later, I would have directed the film”
He further added, “I didn’t have anyone in mind while writing the story. And then, Salman Bhai heard the story and instantly came on board.”
Currently, Salman Khan is presently preparing for the December 30 release of “Bhaijaan” on the professional front. Additionally, he plans to release Tiger 3 around the weekend of Eid 2023. Salman is collaborating with South Asian directors on No Entry 2, Dabangg 4, and other projects under Mythri Productions.
