Mansukh Mandaviya, the union minister for chemicals and fertilisers, advised Gujarati businessmen to “immediately” travel to Russia because a number of European corporations are leaving the nation.
During his visit to the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) on Tuesday, Mandaviya, who recently led the Indian delegation to the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia, said “Several European businesses are leaving Russia and the Russian government has informed him that if Indian businesses come, the opportunity would be made available to them.
“There is a chance here. The Gujarat ecosystem, he told businessmen at GCCI, is the one that can take advantage of this opportunity. The team of Gujarati business people might be led by the state’s minister of industries, Jagdish Vishwakarma, Mandaviya added, promising to make the necessary preparations for the visit to Russia.
The Union minister’s remarks come at a time when India is already purchasing Russian crude oil at a reduced price. He emphasised that now was the perfect moment to take advantage of the opportunity and said that Indians had enough of money to make in Russia. At a GCCI interactive session titled “Role of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry to Achieve USD 5 Trillion Economy,” Mandaviya was speaking.
