The Closing ceremony of the “National Health Fest for Divyangjan- We Care” was held today April 07, 2022, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Dignitaries like Governor Acharya Devvrat, Cheif Minister Bhupendra Patel, Education Minister Jitu Vaghani, Minister of Home Harsh Sanghvi were present at the event. Special Olympics players were also present during this closing ceremony.
This event was organised In the light of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Special Olympics Bharat organized the National Health Fest for persons with intellectual disabilities. Today On April 07, 2022, World Health Day, 10,000 intellectually challenged athletes got screened by specially trained health professionals under this event.
one of the main objectives of the event, “National Health Fest for Divyangjan- We Care” is to screen several athletes under three disciplines, Dental, Eye examination, and Prevention and Nutrition. Around 750 volunteers were involved in the screening process, supported by 500 non-clinical volunteers and 7-8 medical institutes from around the areas of Ahmedabad.
