Rahul Gandhi Reaches ED Office Amidst Protests

| Updated: June 13, 2022 12:13

Rahul Gandhi, this morning, is set to be questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the alleged National Herald money laundering case. The regulator has also issued summons to Sonia Gandhi but it is yet uncertain when she might make her appearance.

Protests erupted in Delhi ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s appearance in front of the ED in connection with the alleged National Herald money laundering case. Congress workers took to the streets shouting slogans against the summons to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, and called out the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre for resorting to vendetta politics. The Congress workers called the current ruling government a ‘dictatorship’ and said that Rahul will not be afraid.

Congress workers also staged protests at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s appearance before ED.

Gujarat Congress on Sunday slammed the BJP over the ED summons to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. On July 13 the state leadership said it will hold a protest near the ED office in Ahmedabad.

Ever since the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in connection with the National Herald case, the Congress leaders are hitting back at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of vendetta politics. The ED has issued a couple of summons to both the Congress leaders to question them regarding the money laundering case related to the said newspaper.
