Vadodara: CM Patel Presents Appointment Letters To Anganwadi Workers

On the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel presented appointment letters to 1416 Anganwadi workers in seven districts of Central Gujarat zone and Vadodara Municipal Corporation area. The recruitment of about 7000 Anganwadi workers and Tedagars across the state has been completed through online process in a short span of only two months. Many dignitaries were present during the program.

Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi and Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Pradeep Parmar were also attending the event that was organized by the State Department of Women and Child Development at Vadodara.

CM Patel, while addressing the event, said that the society and the government have a special responsibility for the development of women and children in the state. State government has allocated 800 crores to achieve the goal of one thousand days of care for the holistic development of women, mother-child lifelong happiness. He also announced that the state government has taken a decision to provide nutritious food to pregnant females for one thousand days under the Malnourished Mother-Healthy Child Scheme.

Furthermore, CM Patel said that Narendra Modi has shown the country and the world from the very first day of his tenure as Prime Minister that the pace of development can be doubled by working together and maintaining a strong determination. He said that with the support of all, development, faith and all efforts, our team is trying to move Gujarat towards development at a faster pace under his direction.

Stating that Gujarat is the growth engine of the country, CM Patel added that the growth engine of development can be said only when the fruits of development reach the last human being and even the deprived class realizes it.  Therefore, this government is constantly striving for the development of all.

CM Patel also said that education, health and security are at the core of Gujarat’s development. In order to make all the children of the state well educated, a strong structure of education has been set up by the state government from Anganwadi to higher education. The dropout ratio has been negligible today, especially as a result of the state government’s efforts to stabilize children through primary education.

Giving the role of Sevayagya in the Corona epidemic, Chief Minister said that in those difficult times, the developed countries of the world did not care about their citizens.  In this regard, the PM Modi has saved the country from corona through free vaccination by providing various health related facilities for the health of 130 crore people of India.  Concerned that a poor family in the country will not go hungry due to this epidemic, they have given free food to all the poor families.

Under Ayushyaman Bharat Yojana, the world’s largest healthcare scheme, Prime Minister has provided health protection cover of Rs 5 lakh.

Stating that women are safe and secure in Gujarat, CM Patel said women can go out at midnight and return without any panic. The state government has made appropriate arrangements for the protection of women.

Applauding the Women and Child Welfare Department, he said that in a very short span of time, about seven thousand Anganwadi workers and Tedagar sisters have been given appointment letters for transparency and efficiency. Appointment letters will be given to the selected sisters in the next one week. The state government has done an excellent job of humanitarian service by giving all the necessary benefits to the destitute, the elderly, the disabled and women.

In response to the PM Modi’s call for a self-reliant India, he called on all to join the campaign for a self-reliant Gujarat.

Furthermore, CM Patel inaugurated the Shakti Mela organized by Gujarat Women’s Economic Development Corporation and Women and Child Development Department. The Shakti Mela will have an exhibition and sale of items produced by women.

The Chief Minister distributed nutrition kits to pregnant mothers, approval letters of Vhali Dikri Yojana, financial assistance approval letters to Ganga Swarupa sisters, honor of women entrepreneurs, distribution of loans to self help groups, disbursement of benefits of Mahila Swavalamban Yojana along with disability assistance. He also distributed a booklet of the Women and Child Development Department and an information booklet on questions and solutions regarding the schemes.

Digital Dedication Ceremony of 61 Anganwadi Centers constructed at a cost of Rs455 lakhs in Vadodara city district as well as digitally launched various projects of Public Welfare of Vadodara Municipal Corporation worth Rs24 crore.
