Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel this morning reached the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, to participate in the state-level celebration of the 8th International Yoga Day. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Yoga for Humanity’. Nearly 7,500 people joined the yoga day event from this venue.
CM Patel, while addressing the people, encouraged them to adopt yoga and practice it regularly for leading a healthy life. He joined the participants for a session of yoga on this pleasant morning. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya led the Yoga Day celebrations at Statue of Unity in Kevadia. In a tweet, he said, “I experienced excellent energy by participating in the yoga program in the presence of Sardar Patel. Today the whole world is doing yoga in unison. Take this priceless gift of sages and sages in your life.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead a mass Yoga event at Mysuru Palace in Karnataka, which saw participation from nearly 15,000 enthusiasts.
Besides, 25 crore people around the globe, will also join several events all aimed at doing Yoga in unison for better health and wellness.
