In a dramatic robbery attempt in Ahmedabad, a woman who tried to loot a jewellery shop was slapped nearly 20 times by the shopkeeper after her plan went spectacularly wrong.
The incident, reported from near Ranip vegetable market and dated November 3, was captured on the store’s CCTV camera. The video, now circulating widely on social media, shows the woman entering the shop with her face covered by a dupatta, pretending to be a customer.
Moments later, she hurls chilli powder at the shopkeeper seated behind the counter. But the attack misses its target. The shopkeeper instantly stands up and repeatedly slaps the woman, foiling the attempted robbery before she could escape.
Interestingly, no valuables were stolen, and the jeweller managed to overpower the accused despite the attempted chilli assault.
