Surat: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the PP Maniya Super Specialty Hospital, Surat, in the presence of Gujarat BJP President CR Paatil. Darshana Jardosh, Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, addressed the gathering during the event.
The Home Minister quoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s independence day speech and applauded Gujarat for its fast pacing progress. He also appreciated various policies initiated by the Gujarat government in the last two decades that led to the zero-drop-out ratio and 100% enrollment rate in government schools.
Union Minister Amit Shah praised India for its healthcare sector growth in the presence of PM Modi. According to Shah, the Central government announced to spend rupees two lakhs and 24 thousand crores on health in the 2021-22 budget. For medical colleges, the cabinet allotted a budget of ₹1600 crores. Moreover, the Home Minister mentioned that the Modi government worked to build 596 medical colleges. Lastly, he congratulated the family on the successful inauguration of PP Maniya Hospital.
Gujarat BJP State President CR Paatil also addressed the gathering and appreciated Surat’s healthcare infrastructure. He mentioned PM Modi’s plans for people’s better health and applauded the use of the Ayushmann card. According to CR Paatil, India has the best and cheapest treatment with the best infrastructure and equipment for a patient’s speedy recovery.
Regional Vice President Gorghanbhai Zafia, State Cabinet Minister Mukeshbhai Patel, and Surat District President Sandipbhai Desai were also present during the event. Many MLAs, including VD Jhalawadia, Pravinbhai Ghoghari, and Kumarbhai Kanani, also attended the occasion. Furthermore, the Mayor of Surat City, Hemaliben Boghavala, General Secretary of Surat City, Kalu Bhimnath, and Doctors of PP Maniya Hospital participated in the inauguration ceremony.
