Bharatiya Janata Party president JP Nadda on Wednesday launched the Gaurav Yatra of the party in poll-bound Gujarat from the temple town of Bahucharaji in Mehsana and said the yatra is not restricted to BJP or Gujarat but will establish the “pride” of India.
On this occasion, he said, “Gaurav Yatra is not just for Gujarat but for the whole India. It is a pride moment for Gujarat that the yatra has begun from here.” Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.State BJP Chief CR Patil, Union minister Parshottam Rupala. Former Dy Chief Minister Nitin Patel along with many other BJP leaders was also present at the event.
He accused Congress of halting development and said the opposition party is “stuck and lost”. He said, “What did Congress do for years? They stopped those who were pro-development. It is only under the guidance of our PM Narendra Modi that we could finally develop. Today, all of us can sit together without masks as our able government gave us Covid vaccines and booster doses. This is the achievement of our government.”
In the run-up to the high-stake Assembly elections, due in December this year, the BJP will launch five such yatras in two days that will cover different parts of Gujarat.
Amit Shah Will Also Launch Gaurav Yatra
While JP Nadda launched it off today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will do so on Thursday. Nitin Patel, the former deputy CM, Union minister Bhupendra Yadav, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and former Minister Jawahar Chavda will also join in the march at various points.
Amit Shah will roll out the yatra on three routes on Thursday. One route will be from Sant Savaiyanath temple at Zanzarka village in Ahmedabad district. The other two routes will be from Unai Mata temple in Vansda taluka of Navsari district.
