In a significant operational update, leading airline SpiceJet has announced that it will shift all its flights to and from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) airport in Ahmedabad to Terminal 2 (T2), effective from 9th April 2024. Currently, SpiceJet operates all its flights from Terminal 1, also known as the domestic terminal, at SVPI airport.
Terminal 2, primarily an international terminal, will now host all SpiceJet flights, marking a major shift in the airline’s operations at the Ahmedabad airport. The announcement was made by SpiceJet today, stating, “All domestic and international SpiceJet flights to/from Ahmedabad will operate from Terminal 2, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport starting 9th April 2024.”
SpiceJet currently operates flights from Ahmedabad to several domestic destinations including Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Mumbai, Port Blair and Varanasi. However, the airline does not operate any international flights from Ahmedabad. The shift to Terminal 2 is expected to streamline SpiceJet’s operations and provide passengers with improved facilities and services.
