In an unexpected voluntary help to Gujarat Police, a father in law tipped the local cops about her daughter in law’s booze party. The police raided the party at a hotel and arrested six people. Apparently, the father in law wanted to teach his daughter in law a lesson, following a tiff at home.

The Surat police raided Room 443 at Weekend Address hotel on Dumas Road where the woman was partying with five friends. All six of them which included four men have been arrested. According to the cops, they received a phone message which gave accurate details. The message clearly said that the person’s daughter in law was partying. The police immediately raided the hotel room and found six people, including two women consuming alcohol. Gujarat is State which follows prohibition. A permit is required to have alcohol at residence too. All those arrested in this raid are below 25 years of age.

All attendees were subjected to medical examinations to confirm alcohol consumption. A case has been registered under Gujarat Prohibition Amendment Ordinance (2016), including Sections 66(1)(B), 65(A), 81, and 83(A).

Assistant Commissioner of police Deep Vakil told media, “Of 446 rooms in the hotel, many are owned by private individuals who sign a rent agreement and sublet rooms. The person renting the room offers it to others for higher rates. As his contract is over, police will file a separate complaint against the room owner The Hotel also had apparently violated rules, he said.
