The Adani Group on Monday underscored its rapidly expanding presence in Telangana, announcing major investments across defense, digital infrastructure, logistics, and cement manufacturing.
Speaking at the Telangana Rising Global Summit, Karan Adani, managing director of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd., outlined the group’s growing partnership with the state.
The event was inaugurated by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and several other dignitaries and industry leaders.
He highlighted that the Adani Group has invested nearly Rs. 10,000 crore in Telangana over the past three years, generating employment for more than 7,000 people and reaffirming its commitment to further collaboration.
One of the major milestones presented was the establishment of India’s first long-endurance UAV manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The unit, employing over 1,500 local youth, caters to the Indian armed forces and global defense markets, marking a significant step in the country’s aerospace capabilities.
In the digital infrastructure space, the group is setting up a 48 MW green data center in Telangana, a Rs. 2,500-crore investment aimed at strengthening AI, cloud, and high-performance computing capabilities, he said.
Connectivity and logistics also formed a key part of the group’s expansion. With an investment of Rs. 4,000 crore, Adani Group has developed more than 100 km of highways across districts including Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad, and Khammam, improving regional mobility and trade access.
The Adani Cement business has further boosted the state’s infrastructure readiness by investing over Rs. 2,000 crore in facilities at Ganeshpahad, Tandur, and Devapur, adding 7 MTPA of new manufacturing capacity, he said.
Adani emphasised that the group’s investments reflect long-term confidence in Telangana’s growth potential, signalling deeper engagement with the state’s developmental agenda.
