The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has detained a key member of the Rohit Godara–Naveen Boxer gang from Kutch district and handed him over to the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) in connection with a murder case in Haryana.
Acting on specific intelligence, Gujarat ATS officials traced Vikas alias Golu Jasbirsingh Sheoran, a resident of Haryana and an alleged member of the organised crime network, to Rapar town in Kutch.
ATS officials said that the input indicated that he was hiding at a location linked to an RO plant company in the Nageshwar Park area.
After verification, the information was shared with senior officers and the Superintendent of Police, East Kutch. A joint team comprising officials from the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Local Crime Branch (LCB) located Vikas at a house in Rapar, where he was staying with an acquaintance identified as Dinkesh alias Kali, a native of Kaithal in Haryana.
Both individuals were brought to Ahmedabad for questioning by the Gujarat ATS. During preliminary interrogation, investigators found that Vikas was allegedly involved in the killing of a man named Lavjeet in September 2025 at the court in Bhiwani, Haryana. The murder was reportedly carried out as part of a planned conspiracy linked to inter-gang rivalry, with firearms allegedly supplied by gang leader Rohit Godara.
Police said a murder case had already been registered at the Bhiwani Police Lines police station, and Vikas had been on the run since the incident. Investigators further revealed that he had taken shelter in Kutch on the instructions of senior gang members.
Questioning of Dinkesh alias Kali indicated that he was acquainted with Naveen Boxer and had knowingly provided shelter to Vikas following directions received from the gang.
After confirming the disclosures, Gujarat ATS informed the Haryana STF, which subsequently took custody of both accused for further investigation and legal proceedings. Officials said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to track and disrupt organised crime networks operating across states.
