| Updated: August 4, 2025 16:15

Maharashtra and Delhi may surpass Gujarat when it comes to more Information Technology, Computers, International connections or even a flashy life style.

But when it comes to money, it is Gujarat that surges ahead in this list. A cursory look at the IPO charts of the first quarter of the year ending on June 30, 2025 this year, reflects that Gujarat leads the country when it comes to highest number of listings. A total number of 14 Gujarat based companies have gone public and via the BSE and NSE platforms and have raised Rs 3,495 crores.

These include nine NSE and five BSE listed companies. Compared to Gujarat’s nine, Maharashtra also had nine companies filing their listings in the NSE. Delhi accounted for four companies but it must be noted that though Gujarat had nine companies, Delhi’s four companies raised more money, that is Rs 3657 crores.

On the BSE front, Gujarat has again led in terms of housing the highest number of firms in the country in the just concluded quarter. Five companies raised Rs 121.6 crores in the SME IPO of the BSE.

At the national level, a sector wise dissection shows that industrial and consumer players led the IPO boom. Though there were only two players in the energy sector, making it rank second in the list of categories of that raised the highest capital.
