Parents and guardians of school students are angry with the government for organizing the Kala Maha kumbh despite surge in Corona cases in Anand district of Gujarat. More than 100 students of private schools and many teachers attended the mela and participated in competitions in Anklav Tehsil.
The mela was organized on the instructions of the State Education Department, Gandhinagar and the Anand District Panchayat Education Officer’s Office. Clearly, the authorities overlooked expert opinion that the third wave of Corona is more lethal for children.
The Kala Maha Kumbh Mela was organized on the instructions of the State Education Department, Gandhinagar and the Anand District Panchayat Education Officer’s Office. Asked why they gave permission for the event, the authorities declined to comment.
