Torrent Power Q2 FY26 Net Rises By 48%

| Updated: November 11, 2025 18:22

Higher contribution from merchant power sales from gas-based power plants fuel the growth in Total Comprehensive Income.

Torrent Power Limited on Tuesday announced financial results for the quarter and six months ended September 30, 2025.

The strong operational performance contributing to higher TCI of Rs.238 Crores for the quarter on a year-on-year is primary attributable to increase in contribution from merchant power sales, including LNG sales, from gas-based power plants and reduction in finance cost, partially offset by increase in depreciation costs due to capex & commissioning of additional renewable generation capacity.

Developments during the Quarter:

Secured 1,600 MW Thermal Project in Madhya Pradesh

The Company secured Letter of Award from MP Power Management Company Limited for the long-term supply of power from a new 1,600 MW coal-based power plant, at a tariff of Rs. 5.829 per kWh.
