The BJP has accused Congress supporters of playing a Pakistani song to welcome Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Junagadh, Gujarat, for an internal party meeting.
The BJP has posted a video on X claiming that Congress supporters played a Pakistani song to welcome Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat’s Junagadh on Friday. The Congress hit back, citing India’s upcoming Asia Cup match against Pakistan on Sunday as proof of the BJP’s ‘hypocrisy’ on national sentiment. Gandhi was in Junagadh to participate in the Congress’ ‘Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan’ (campaign to strengthen the organisation) in the BJP-ruled state.
The purported video was shared by BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari, who slammed the grand old party for “its love for Pakistan”. Here is the link to the post on X.
Vibes of India reached out to Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi but the Congress is yet to officially react on the issue.
