White House Shooting Sparks Trump’s Sweeping Immigration Freeze

| Updated: November 28, 2025 14:36

US President Donald Trump has announced a halt to migration from all Third World Countries, citing the recent shooting near the White House that compelled him to make this radical decision.

One of two National Guard soldiers shot by an Afghan national on Thursday later died from injuries.

Following the attack, Trump said the move was necessary to allow the US system to fully recover and to terminate what he called “all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen.”

“I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the US system to fully recover, terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions, including those signed by Sleepy Joe Biden’s Autopen, and remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States, or is incapable of loving our Country,” the President posted on Truth Social.

He also announced that the US would end all federal benefits and subsidies to “noncitizens.” He added that he will “denaturalise migrants who undermine domestic tranquillity, and deport any foreign national who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western civilisation.”

The term ‘Third World countries’ is a broad label for low- and middle-income developing nations, primarily in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and parts of Oceania.

In the wake of the shooting, USCIS said the President had ordered a “full scale, rigorous re-examination of every Green Card for every alien from every country of concern.” These include Afghanistan, Myanmar, Burundi, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Laos, Libya, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, and Yemen, the same nations included in a travel ban announced in June. Immigration applications from Afghanistan were immediately halted.

In a social media post a day after the attack, the President described the incident as a “heinous assault” and “an act of terror.” He claimed, “This refugee burden is the leading cause of social dysfunction in America, something that did not exist after World War II.” He added, “Even as we have progressed technologically, Immigration Policy has eroded those gains and living conditions for many,” and insisted, “Only reverse migration can fully cure this situation.”

According to Trump, the anti-migration measures are aimed at sharply reducing illegal and disruptive populations, including those he said were admitted through an unauthorised Autopen process.
