The Admission Committee for Professional Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC) on Thursday declared that the procedure of postgraduate medical and dental courses for 2022-23 has been deduced. The committee notified that a total of 101 state quota seats are empty in MD, MS and Diploma courses. There are only seven vacant seats in MD.
There are 21,169 seats in MD, MS and Diploma courses comprising 550 all-India quota seats, as per the committee.
The committee further stated that 1,511 of the 1,619 state quota seats have been occupied. Seven seats are still empty in the total of 206 state quota seats. As per the norms, 15 per cent of all UG medical seats and 50 per cent of seats in PG courses in the state are stocked for all-India quota students.
The outstanding seats are contained in the state quota seats which are later distributed into government, management and NRI quota seats.
