Ahmedabad Police’s Crime Branch has apprehended a 20-year-old from the city area for reportedly posting videos with liquor bottles on social media and “challenging the police”. Mohammad Zaid Qureshi alias Zaidu is a resident of Jamalpur in the old city. He was nabbed by the DCB teams after his videos got viral on social media.
In the videos he can be seen posing with the beer and whisky bottles, and using superimposed audio of filmy dialogues on his video clips to apparently “challenge the police”. The videos posted by Zaid on his Instagram handle were shown by many local news channels a week ago at the time where hooch tragedy was surfacing the news. “We have handed the accused to Danilimda PS in relation with the FIR filed against him,” informed the DCB official.
