A day after the state reported a decrease in daily covid cases, Wednesday saw a dip in the daily covid cases as a daily tally stood at 305. For the past few days, covid numbers in the state are decreasing.
New covid cases have marginally decreased to 305 from 367 reported on Tuesday, a marginal decrease of 62 cases within a day.
Tuesday saw the daily covid deaths at 4 in the state whereas it has increased to 5 on Wednesday. These deaths were reported from Vadodara 2, Bharuch 1,and Bhavnagar 1.
The number of active cases in the state is 3386. Total of 33 people in the state are on a ventilator.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 120 cases. Other major contributors include Vadodara with 40 cases, Vadodara rural with 29 cases, Banaskantha with 17 cases, Surat with 9 cases, and Patan with 11 cases. These six regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.

According to Central Government data Active Cases in India,as of 23rd February are 1,64,522. Whereas daily new cases in the last 24 hours India stood at 15,102 and the daily positivity rate of India stood at 1.80 percent.
