43 Year Old Hitman Arrested for Assassination

| Updated: July 9, 2022 12:45

City crime branch arrested a 43- year old man from Gomtipur who has reportedly assassinated a Vastral resident named Shailesh Prajapati by running a truck over him on June 24. It has come to notice that he was paid 10 lakhs by the deceased’s wife Sharda Prajapti.

Yasin Ansari, who is by the way a resident of Pujari Chawli in Gomtipur, claims he was given the contract to kill Shailesh in May.

At first, traffic police had filed a case of death by negligence, but later CCTV footage showed the man walking behind Shailesh for some time and then driving the pickup truck that was run over Shailesh.

The man sitting next to the driver has been recognized as Sharda’s, the wife’s boyfriend Nitin Prajapati. During the questioning, Nitin and Sharda revealed that they had conspired to kill Shailesh and Ansin was paid 10 lakhs to do the same.

Apparently, Nitin and Shailesh go long back from Ranpur village and besides being good friends, were also partners in real estate business.

Nitin and Sharda had contacted Ansari and showed him a photograph of Shailesh to him besides sharing Shailesh’s routine to him, from what is being discovered up till now.

Both Sharda and Nitin were arrested by the city crime branch on July 4. Ansari, besides being wanted  in a murdercase, has also been involved in bootlegging, gambling, and causing hurt cases between 2018 and 2020.
