A 47-year-old woman’s dead body was found at her home in Vejalpur on Saturday afternoon. The gory crime left several stab wounds on the neck and shoulder of the woman’s body. Vejalpur police have already registered a case of murder and started an investigation.
The victim’s body was discovered by the woman’s mother, Lakshmi Kar, who happens to live in the same society. The victim, Manisha Dudehela lived alone in Shrinandnagar II society. It was Lakshmi who further filed the complaint of the murder.
The body was discovered, after the neighbours complained of a foul smell emerging from the flat. The state of decomposition says the body may have been in the residence for around 4 days. It was found through primary investigation that she had been married to Radhakrishna Dudhela in 2014 and she lived in Hyderabad. But after marriage disputes began, she moved to Ahmedabad and has been living in the same address since 2015. She was also reported to be receiving 40,000 alimony every month, as issued by the court’s orders. Neighbours revealed that she was not seen for four days, indicating the murder might have taken place on July 19.
The woman was working for a private shop in Memnagar . The police said that research is ongoing to understand the motive of the crime. Police said the victim’s mother will also be questioned.
