A day after the state reported a decrease in daily covid cases, Friday saw a dip in the daily covid cases as a daily tally stood at 617. For the past few days, covid numbers in the state are decreasing.
New covid cases have marginally decreased to 617 from 870 reported on Thursday, a marginal decrease of 253 cases within a day.
Thursday saw the daily covid deaths at 13 in the state whereas it has decreased to 10 on Friday. These deaths were reported from Ahmedabad 3, Vadodara 3, Bharuch 3 and Tapi 1.
The number of active cases in the state is 6736. Total of 53 people in the state are on a ventilator.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 198 cases. Other major contributors include Vadodara with 97 cases, Vadodara rural with 48 cases, Banaskantha with 46 cases, Surat with 24 cases, and Patan with 23 cases. These six regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.
