After a nothch lower on the previous day – Monday, Gujarat reported a total of 874 fresh covid-19 cases on Tuesday with no deaths due to the infection in the last 24 hours.
With this, the tally of total covid-19 cases in Gujarat reached 12,56,651 and the death toll remained unchanged at 10,971 in the state. A total of 1,030 covid-19 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours with the tally of total recoveries in the state reaching 12,29,423. Resultantly, the total active caseload on the state stood at 6,257 on Tuesday.
Talking district-wise distribution of new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, Ahmedabad registered as many as 287 positive cases with active caseload on the city reaching 2,225 on Tuesday.
The city was followed by Vadodara city with 94 new cases, Gandhinagar city with 41, Mehsana 37, Surat city with 35, Gandhinagar 34 and Rajkot with 31 in the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
