In the first instance, it might not seem plausible but it is a fact that a plot at Thaltej in Ahmedabad is valued at Rs 385 crore. The land of this plot with a total area of 12,858 square meters belongs to an education trust (Gujarat Institute of Chemical Technology Trust) in Thaltej village. The Charity Commissioner estimated its cost at Rs. 385 crore and has been put up for auction.

The deal for the plot, situated opposite SG Highway in Ahmedabad, is considered to be the most expensive deal ever. The base price of land under Gujarat Institute of Chemical Technology Trust has been fixed at 2.99 lakh/sq.m., making it the most expensive deal ever in the city.

Till now, the price at which the deal of Plot Survey No. 94 (A) in Thaltej village opposite Zydus Hospital was considered to be the highest deal so far.
The trust has invited bids in the name of Anangbhai Ajaybhai Lalbhai. The last date for filing any objections is October 12. The opening date for the bid has been announced as October 14.

Recently, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had put up plots for sale in Bodakdev and Nikol. Out of which, one plot at Bodakdev was sold and the deal for another plot was canceled. While, the bid for the plot at Nikol was filled but the deal did not take place.
