The results of Gujarat’s D2D (Diploma to Degree) Engineering and Pharmacy entrance examinations have been declared, and the outcome has raised concerns due to the large number of students scoring low marks.
For D2D Engineering admissions, the registration process will take place from June 11 to June 22 after the declaration of results. Admission procedures will continue through the state admission committee.
According to the results, more than 7,300 students scored below 40 percent marks in the engineering entrance examination. What has caused greater concern is that 332 students failed to score more than 150 marks in any subject, reflecting a weak overall performance.
The mark distribution also highlights the issue. Around 7,345 students scored between 50 and 100 marks, while 1,060 students received less than 50 marks. The data shows that a significant number of students struggled in the examination.
The situation in the D2D Pharmacy entrance examination is also worrying. In the 200-mark exam, not a single student scored above 150 marks. Only 23 students managed to score between 100 and 150 marks, while 201 students scored between 50 and 100 marks. In addition, 484 students scored below 50 marks.
Compared to last year, the performance has declined. In the previous year’s pharmacy entrance examination, four students had scored more than 150 marks, but this year no student reached that level.
With the admission process set to begin soon, these results have sparked concern among education experts and parents, as the large number of low scores raises questions about student preparedness and overall academic performance.
