Aam Aadmi Party’s National Joint General Secretary Isudan Gadhvi took a jibe at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central government for making lofty promises to the public but never delivering on them. Without naming anyone, Gadhvi said, “Some people had promised to deposit Rs15 lakh in every account, but instead they waived off debt worth Rs11 lakh crore that belonged to their businessmen friends!” Gadhvi was referring to BJP’s election campaign in 2013-14, during which the leaders, including Narendra Modi, allegedly made the promise.
Gadhvi was addressing a public meeting at Jamrawal in Dwarka. He was accompanied by party leader Indranil Rajguru.
Furthermore, Gadhvi raised the issue of Sani Dam and assured the people that when AAP party comes to power, many such problems will be solved. He said that the BJP government is unable to build the dam properly and resolve the issue permanently. The people of the district have to suffer every year when monsoon lashes the district, Gadhvi said.
The AAP leader also accused the BJP state government of deliberating not providing good education facilities in government schools. Children of rural areas and from underprivileged families are suffering because of this.
Talking about the AAP’s campaign in Gujarat, Gadhvi said that he had travelled all over the state and understood the problems that the people are facing. “I have seen parents doing menial labour, working hard, to provide good education to their children. These parents are enrolling their kids in coaching classes in Gandhinagar so that they can do well in government exams, and get good jobs. However, these hard-working children and their parents have to face massive disappointment as the government is unable to prevent exam papers from getting leaked!”
Gadhvi questioned the motives of the BJP government over these issues. He said that these issues are deliberately being left resolved so as to profit a handful of people.
