The incident of a 10-month-old toddler abandoned outside a temple in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar last month had awakened the whole of Gujarat. News of the shocking crime of a 10-month-old child and its aftermath began to spread through the airwaves and became a topic of discussion.
The child was reportedly left by his father identified as Sachin outside the Swaminarayan temple’s Gaushala in Pethapur. Before abandoning the child, the father had murdered his live-in partner Heena and stuffed the dead body in a suit case. Gandhingar police however was successful in cracking the case within the matter of a few hours and Sachin was then arrested under the charge of murder.

Sachin used to work in an Ahmedabad based firm where he stayed with his parents, wife and a child while later he worked in a Vadodara-based company in 2019 where he was a live-in relationship with Heena.
Sachin from Gandhinagar and Mehndi alias Heena from Junagadh had been living in a live-in for two years. Mehndi was eager to get social status and despite making compromises, there were conflicts with Sachin. The accused’s father Sachin Dixit, who had abandoned Shivansh, also confessed to strangling his girlfriend and Shivansh’s mother Mehdi.
However, there are still new claims in this case regarding the child. According to information received, a major turning point has come in this case in which Shivansh’s father Sachin has dropped the child’s claim. The entire process of adoption of this child will be done by the central agency CARA in which the process of adoption of Shivansh can take about 4-5 months.
Shivansh will be adopted only after thorough verification of the guardian who will come forward for adoption. Abandoned Shivansh is currently kept in Odhav where he is fully cared for.
