The prestigious Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in Delhi recognised Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport as the “Best Regional Airport of the Year” on January 18, 2023, for the second year in a row. In the presence of the Union Minister for Civil Aviation and other significant dignitaries, Ahmedabad airport was presented with the honour.

Ahmedabad airport is focusing its efforts on identifying areas of opportunity to better understand passenger needs and priorities for the benefit of the travelling. Also, it has implemented initiatives such as using electric sedan cars as shuttles between two terminal buildings, improving connectivity between Ahmedabad airport, and providing better retail, food, and ground transportation options for passengers. Along with improved hygiene, safety, and security processes both inside and outside the terminal.

This prestigious award was presented by the 14th International ASSOCHAM National Council Conference cum Awards for Civil Aviation to  airports in Mumbai airport in the best sustainable airport category and Lucknow Airport in the best regional airport, both of which are committed to providing an exceptional service experience.
