The first citizen of Ahmedabad had to wait 20 minutes outside the state BJP headquarters ‘Kamalam’ before he was allowed entry. The Mayor of Ahmedabad city, Kirit Parmar was stopped by security men at the gate of rulithe ng party’s office when he tried to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting.
Parmar took part in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow from the airport to the BJP state headquarters at the very start of his two-day visit. Many Gujarat MLAs, MPs, and other party functionaries attended the roadshow with their supporters.
The Mayor was shocked at the way he was treated by the security outside the BJP state headquarters and called up his party workers. The matter was resolved after party workers checked the guest list.Kamalam’ was turned into a fortress because of the PM’s visit.
Earlier in the day Mayor Kirit Parmar was amongst the dignitaries who welcomed PM Modi at the airport.
After welcoming PM Modi at the airport Ahmedabad Mayor took part in the rally with other state leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party.
