Crossing a maximum of 43.3 Degrees Celsius temperature, Ahmedabad on Wednesday reported the highest maximum temperature of the last 12 days. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in the city remained at 27.5 Degrees Celsius, which was 0.2 Degrees Celsius lower than the normal temperature. However, the city reported a maximum temperature of 2.3 degrees higher than the normal temperature.
Moreover, the city is expected to experience a maximum of 43 Degrees Celsius temperature, stated the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in its statement adding that during the subsequent four to five days, no large change is expected over the region.
The rise in temperature is the result of a change in wind direction from southwesterly to westerly, stated the statement further.
As stated above, Ahmedabad reported a maximum temperature of more than 43 Degrees Celsius nearly after 12 days. Lastly, it was on May 20 when the city had reported a maximum temperature of more than 43 degrees at 43.6 Degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, Ahmedabad was reported to be the hottest city in Gujarat on Wednesday. Ahmedabad was followed by Surendranagar with a maximum temperature of 42.9 degrees, Kandla at 42.6 degrees and Vallabh Vidyanagar with a maximum of 42.1 Degrees Celsius temperature.
