| Updated: June 7, 2022 08:17

Ahmedabad on Monday was reported to be the hottest place in Gujarat with a maximum temperature of 42.6 Degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was reported to be 1.9 degrees more than the normal maximum temperature while the minimum temperature was almost similar to the normal temperature at 27.9 Degrees Celsius on Monday.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there are fewer or no changes expected in the temperature in Ahmedabad during the next 24 hours. Thereafter a decrease of two to three Degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature is expected due to pre-monsoon activities from Wednesday in the city.

Notably, last year on the same day, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was reported to be 38 Degrees Celsius. This shows intense summer with high temperatures this year.

Apart from this, the weather forecasting department stated in its statement that light to moderate rains are expected in some regions of Gujarat from Wednesday. These regions include Amreli, Dang, Gir Somnath, Navsari, Surat, Tapi and Valsad.
