Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has expressed admiration for Saif Ali Khan’s courage following an incident in which the latter was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra apartment.
Speaking at a press conference for his upcoming film Sky Force in New Delhi on Monday, Kumar shared his relief that Saif is safe after the ordeal.
“It’s very nice that he is safe. It’s good, we are happy. The whole industry is very happy. And it was very brave of him; he protected his family,” said Kumar.
Kumar, who was joined at the event by co-star Veer Pahariya and producers Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, also reminisced about his past collaboration with Saif in the 1994 film Tu Khiladi Main Anari.
He joked about the prospect of a future project, quipping that their next film could be titled Dono Khiladi.
The attack occurred on January 16 at Saif’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. According to reports, Saif sustained six injuries while defending his children from the intruder. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now recovering.
The incident has prompted an outpouring of concern and support from the film industry.
