| Updated: November 16, 2022 16:08

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a roadshow in Ghatlodya in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, ahead of the chief minister’s nomination filing for the upcoming assembly elections.

Shah will accompany Patel during the filing of nominations for the elections. Earlier, Union Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence in the BJP’s ability to form a government in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, claiming that the party will “break all records and win with the most number of seats.”

“In this assembly election, the BJP will break all records, win the most seats, and form the government with a majority,” Shah said. “The leadership of PM Modi and CM Patel is accelerating development work,” he added, noting that Gujarat law and other conditions have improved, and the state’s economy has grown. CM Patel is following PM Modi’s development model for Gujarat’s Dalits, tribals, and OBC community.”

The BJP has nominated Bhupendra Patel to run for the Ghatlodiya constituency in Ahmedabad in the December 1 and December 5 elections. Earlier, the BJP released its fourth list of candidates, which included 12 names, including two women

The initial list of 160 candidates includes 14 females, 13 SC candidates, and 24 ST candidates. The BJP, on the other hand, has already compiled a list of prominent campaigners for the upcoming Gujarat elections. Along with BJP state president CR Patil and State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, CM Bhupendra Patel, who is running for re-election in the Ghatlodia Assembly segment, is also included on the list of star campaigners.
