An Army helicopter crashed in Tamil Nadu’s Coonoor on Wednesday. The Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat, was on board the chopper. Three people have been rescued so far while a search is on for the fourth. People who suffered serious injuries have been taken to the hospital in Wellington cantonment in Nilgiris district. the Mi-series chopper along with him when it crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in Tamil Nadu.
Along with General Bipin Rawat, his family members were also on board. Search and rescue operations have been launched from nearby military bases.
