Arvind Kejriwal In Gujarat: We Will Impose 10 Years of Imprisonment For Exam Paper Leaks

| Updated: October 9, 2022 19:44

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Gujarat on Sunday to hold public meetings in Valsad and Surat. The Aam Aadmi Party duo focused on paper leaks, free allowance to women, 20,000 mohalla clinics and hopes of securing around 30-40 seats in Gujarat.

Paper leaks are a common phenomenon in Gujarat and Kejriwal promised to give 10 years of imprisonment to anyone who indulges in paper leaks. “Since 2015 paper leaks are increasing and it does not happen on its own. There are always ministers and people in the department who are involved in this. If we come to power we will stop this. We will re-investigate the paper leak cases and give 10 years of imprisonment to the culprits.”

On this occasion, Kejriwal said “According to sources, a recent IB report says that if elections are held in Gujarat today, then the government of Aam Aadmi Party will be formed in the state. We are expecting 30-40 seats in the State but your support can make us achieve 150 seats in Gujarat. We are a small but honest party. If voted to power we will spend every penny for the welfare of Gujarat–and not for the welfare of ministers.”

Kejriwal also promised a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 to all women above the age of 18 years in Gujarat if his party came to power, and stressed that this was not a freebie. He also promised to increase the entry-level salaries of police personnel in the state. He requested women to open their bank accounts.

On October 8 while addressing a rally at Dahod, Arvind Kejriwal said the Delhi government has launched a similar scheme wherein devotees of Lord Ram are taken to Ayodhya for free in a special train. He also said the AAP will win the upcoming Gujarat elections, due in December this year, because it is working for the people and “for God”.
