Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Supremo Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Ahmedabad today, for his two-day visit to the poll-bound state of Gujarat. From the airport, the Delhi Chief Minister will reach Naroda Mewada Green Party plot, where he will administer the oath of 7500 newly appointed office bearers of AAP Gujarat. At present more than 6000 office bearers have been assigned the responsibility and another 1500 workers were appointed later.
Later on Monday, Kejriwal will discuss the issue of providing free electricity to the people of Gujarat. The town hall program will be held near Vaishnavadevi Circle in the city. Isudan Gadhvi, National Joint Secretary of AAP, said, “The people are suffering due to the rise in inflation. Thus, the Gujarat AAP has launched a free electricity campaign. If people in Delhi and Punjab can get free electricity, why not Gujarat?”
Arvind Kejriwal will also meet with the party workers in the state and discuss their concerns. He will talk about elections and related campaigns and different issues that the party has taken up. Matter of tribal areas and their people, the plight of the downtrodden in the state, and even problems that the farmers are facing will be discussed. He is expected to leave for Delhi later in the day.
AAP has started a free electricity movement in the villages and cities of Gujarat. The party leaders have repeatedly insisted that if the people of Delhi and Punjab can get free electricity, then why does the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) not do the same for the people in Gujarat.
