ATS Seizes 25 Pistols and 90 Live Cartridges in Gujarat

The Gujarat Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has seized a substantial stock of arms and ammunition. Six individuals linked to the case were arrested in this operation.

The ATS swung into action following a tip-off, leading to the arrest of six individuals from Gujarat’s Surendranagar and Rajkot; and Madhya Pradesh’s Jhabua taluka and Indore city. The operation resulted in the seizure of an alarming total of 25 pistols and 90 live cartridges.

The accused are alleged to have procured these arms and ammunition from outside the state. A suspect, identified as Munnavar, is believed to have supplied these arms using private travel buses as a mode of transport.

Names of the accused people:

  1. Shivam Indrasingh Damodar (26), Jhabua taluka, Madhya Pradesh
  2. Pravin Dharmendra Shrivaas (23), Prakash Chandra Sethi Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh
  3. Sanjay Dudhabhai Mer (23), Rajkot
  4. Raju Jayantibhai Sarvaiyaa (30), Rajkot
  5. Vipul Velabhai Saniya (30), Surendranagar
  6. Manoj Girishbhai Chauhan (25), Chotila

The ATS has launched a comprehensive investigation to trace the source of these ammunitions, determine their cost, and uncover the intended destination for their use and sale. This operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
