A book commemorating achievements of Umesh Pathak, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax Department, was released at a function organised recently at the Sports Club in Ahmedabad.
Pathak retired on October 31. He made invaluable contributions to the department in the field of sports and cultural activities.
The event was attended by Ajay Patel, Senior Vice President – Indian Olympic Association, Adil Sumariwala – Member of the International Athletic Federation, Jayesh Modi, Durga Dutt – Income Tax Commissioner, Rashmin Majithia – Coconut Films and other dignitaries.

In his message, Billiards player, Geet Sethi, said that Pathak’s knowledge of sport and his love for helping sportspersons came through in every interaction he had with him.
State agriculture minister, Jitu Vaghani, said that Pathak has been inspiring young players.
Noting Pathak’s contribution to cricket, Congress Rajya Sabha MP, Shaktisinh Gohil, said he has been a witness to Pathak’s progress as a player and in the Ranji Trophy matches.
