Book Review: The Fault In Our Stars By John Green

| Updated: June 6, 2022 19:15

John Green, a well-known writer of Young Adult Fiction, is the author of Fault in Our Stars. The book tells us the tale of Hazel, who can’t recall a time when she was healthy and cancer-less. While Hazel was about to give up all her hope, she met Augustus Waters, another cancer survivor. Waters read her favorite books to her, spent time with her, and assisted her in regaining strength.

Green has crafted the story so marvelously that we can experience the character’s feelings. Readers gravitate to Hazel and Augustus because of their wit and bravery. Through Hazel and Augustus, John Green brings both sorrow and humor.

“You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I am grateful.”

Green’s Augustus and Hazel are one of the most unbreakable book couples that have left a mark in the hearts of their readers. Readers of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ are awe of the characters, scenes, and twists. The quotable quotes in the book make it worth every award ad appreciation.

John Green has a unique and straightforward way of writing. He gets down to business, and so do his characters. They are honest, opinionated, flawed, and full of life. After reading the book, there was a surge of emotions inside me. Somehow, I was energized and fatigued.

The two did not lose heart, took charge of their lives without self-pity, and dug out the silver lining. Emotional, raw, gritty, heartfelt, and motivational, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is a must-read young adult romance. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

“Sometimes, you read a book that fills you with this weird evangelical zeal. You become convinced that the shattered world will never be able to be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.”
