CBSE Announces Class 10th &12th Board Results; Trivandrum Tops List

CBSE has declared the consolidated Class 10th and 12th results considering the term I and II marks. The board has given a 30% weightage to the Term I results, whereas a 70% weightage to the Term II results. However, in the case of practical examinations, the board allotted equal weightage to both terms.

Students can check their results on CBSE official website www.results.cbse.nic.in.

CBSE conducted the Term II exams for Class 12th on April 26 and June 15. While the Class 10th examinations occurred from April 26 to May 4.

Class 12th Results

Trivandrum has topped in the region-wise pass percentage with 98.33%, followed by Bengaluru with 98.16%. Gujarat (Ajmer region) scored 96.01%, and Patna came last with 91.20%. The board declared the score for nearly 14 Lakh students who appeared for the exams.

However, the number of students who scored above 90% in CBSE Class 12th results in 2022 has decreased significantly. According to the information provided by CBSE Board Officials, compared to the previous three years, only 1,34,797 pupils (9.39%) achieved a score of above 90% or above. It is less than the number of students receiving more than 90% in 2020 and 2021.

Similarly, the percentage of students scoring more than 95% in CBSE Class 12th also came down to 33,432 from 70,004 in 2021. In 2020, the CBSE Class 12th result saw a 38,686 score above the 95% bar. Thus, the levels decreased in the post-pandemic scenes compared to the pre-pandemic ones.

Class 10th Results

In the 10th board, Trivandrum topped the list with a whopping 99.68%. Bengaluru stood second in the list at 99.22%, Chennai at 98.97%, and Gujarat (Ajmer) region at 98.14%. Chandigarh scored the least, 95.38%.

The overall pass rate for CBSE Class 10th is 94.4%. Around 20,93,978 students appeared for the exams, out of which 19,76,668 passed. Over 2.36 lakh (2,36,993) students earned grades above 90%, and 64,908 students scored above 95%.
