A 35-year-old ragpicker has been arrested in Ahmedabad for abducting a child. Recently, a child went missing from the city, has been found at Sola. The accused has been identified identifies as Bharat Manabhai Valmiki (35), he first allegedly fooled the child and then used the abducted child for begging outside Ahmedabad.

This shocking case came to light when an abandoned child was found from Harij, a city and a municipality in the Patan district of Gujarat. Later, Harij police handed over the child to Sola police. Following top which the Sola police arrested Bharat Valmiki. Reportedly, Bharat Valmiki is also accused of doing inhuman activities with the child.

Bharat Valmiki resides in a hut near a railway crossing in Hebatpur, he has two daughters of his own and his wife died a few years back. He picks garbage from the streets for a living.
