| Updated: January 4, 2022 11:31

Megastar Chiranjeevi has come out in support of his brother and a star in his own right Pawan Kalyan on his political views opposing the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Reddy.

Pawan Kalyan has founded the Jana Sena Party in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on 14 March 2014 with the motto “fight for the rights of each and every”. Pawan Kalyan is causing concerns to the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh on his incessant questions on film-related issues or other political issues in the state.

Though he has not found so far the traction he would need from the film fraternity. Under the circumstances, his elder brother and super star Chiranjeevi has come out in Pawan’s support and said that there is substance in the questions raised by Pawan Kalyan and that Pawan Kalyan’s response on some issues make sense.

Chiranjeevi, while speaking during ‘Chiranjeevi Oxygen Bank’ event, appreciated Pawan Kalyan for fighting for justice and advocating for integrity. Chiranjeevi said that integrity, honesty and restraint will bring success ultimately. Chiranjeevi also said that he would also fight for the same justice in due course. He said that the response from the fans is his strength.

In 2008, Chiranjeevi started Praja Rajyam Party, a political party in Andhra Pradesh with social justice as the main agenda of his party. After winning 18 of the 294 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2009 elections, the party merged with the Indian National Congress party in 2011 after a meeting with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
