Though he has not found so far the traction he would need from the film fraternity. Under the circumstances, his elder brother and super star Chiranjeevi has come out in Pawan’s support and said that there is substance in the questions raised by Pawan Kalyan and that Pawan Kalyan’s response on some issues make sense.

Chiranjeevi said that integrity, honesty and restraint will bring success ultimately. Chiranjeevi also said that he would also fight for the same justice in due course. He said that the response from the fans is his strength.
In 2008, Chiranjeevi started Praja Rajyam Party, a political party in Andhra Pradesh with social justice as the main agenda of his party. After winning 18 of the 294 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2009 elections, the party merged with the Indian National Congress party in 2011 after a meeting with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
