CM Patel In Vadodara Discusses Water & Town Planning Issues

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, on Saturday, met with the officials of Vadodara Municipal Corporation to discuss roads, water supply, town planning, rainwater harvesting, as well as availability of health facilities in the surrounding villages. Other issues on the agenda were construction of flyovers, traffic management, housing, drainage and also schools run by Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samiti. He discussed various issues including the modernization and enhancement of facilities, the need for a convention centre.

CM Patel said that according to the presentations, water, traffic and town planning were the main issues in the areas. There are other issues as well that need to be addressed. He further said, “The state government is committed to improve on all these necessary areas of concern. We will also assist with financial side of things.” He also suggested that Ajwa Sarovar will be supplied with 60 cusecs of Narmada water.

Furthermore, CM Patel urged the officials of the different departments to work together for the welfare of people. He urged the administration and the elected wing to coordinate with each other and work for the development and welfare of people in the city. The state and central governments have implemented a number of schemes. He instructed the officials to work for the benefit of all and asked them to consider the overall development of the city.

CM Patel lauded the good performance of the MLAs of the city.  He said that the spirit of the MLAs was motivating everyone.

Referencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Patel said that the country is growing to new heights because of Modi’s intelligent governing. “Let’s take inspiration from this and keep working for the people by maintaining coordination at all levels.”


District in-charge and Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Pradeep Parmar, Minister for Revenue and Law Rajendra Trivedi, Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Manisha Vakil, MP Ranjan Bhatt, Mayor of Vadodara Municipal Corporation Keyur Rokadia, MLA Seema Mohile, Bhargav Bhatt, Dr. Vijay Shah and office bearers, Chairman of NPSS, Municipal Commissioner Shalini Agarwal, City Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh, Collector Atul Gor, Acting District Development Officer Kuldeep Singh Zala and others were present during the meeting.
