Congress Lacks Vision in Policy-Making: PM Modi

| Updated: February 16, 2024 20:14

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a virtual event on Friday, criticised the Congress party, stating that it is caught in a cycle of nepotism and dynastic politics, leading to an exodus of members.

The Prime Minister accused the Congress of having a singular agenda of opposing him. He said, “They refrain from even mentioning ‘Viksit Bharat’ because it is associated with me. They don’t support ‘Made in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ initiatives because I endorse them. They seem determined to oppose whatever I do, even if it is detrimental to the nation.”

The event, titled ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Rajasthan’, was held in Jaipur, where the Prime Minister laid the foundation stones for projects worth approximately Rs 17,000 crore and inaugurated various development works.

Prime Minister Modi criticised the Congress for its lack of vision in policy-making, stating that the party has failed to present a future roadmap.

In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised the government’s commitment to making India a developed nation by strengthening four key sections of society – the youth, women, farmers, and the poor. He said, “For us, these are the four biggest castes.”

Speaking about the ‘Viksit Bharat’ campaign, Prime Minister Modi said, “This campaign aims to improve the lives of every family, eradicate poverty, create good employment opportunities for the youth, and establish modern facilities across the country.”
