Sonia Gandhi, President of the Indian National Congress, has again tested COVID-19 positive. According to the official government policy, she’ll remain quarantined until she tests negative.
Jairam Ramesh, a leader in Congress, provided this information.
In the tweet, Jairam Ramesh penned, “Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, had a positive Covid-19 test result today. As per the government’s policy, she will continue to be in isolation.”
In addition, ten other members of the Congress, including General Secretary KC Venugopal, former Party Leader in the Lok Sabha Mallika Arjun Kharge, and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, in charge of Uttar Pradesh, have tested COVID-19 positive. All leaders protested against inflation, unemployment, and the abuse of the government’s investigative institutions.
“Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, tested positive for COVID-19 today. We wish her quick healing and health.” Congress’s official Twitter handle also wished her a speedy recovery.
Even in June, Gandhi tested positive for the coronavirus. She had asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for more time to appear in person for questioning in a money-laundering case.
Due to medical problems with Covid, she was subsequently taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.
