At the close of polling day today, Gujarat Congress president Shaktisinh Gohil thanked the Gujaratis for their love, support and idealism.

While conveying gratitude, the Congress said that the voters do seem to have used the election for change and justice. State Congress President said to have a feeling that the people of Gujarat have extended massive public support to the candidates of the Congress party during the entire election campaign. He said that it was evident from the long queues of youth, women, and senior citizens seen since the morning at polling stations.

Congress chose to reiterate the five justices and twenty-five guarantees that the Congress party has promised in their manifesto. He said guarantees such as the first job for youth, 1 lakh rupees apprenticeship, 30 lakh government recruitment calendar, 25 lakh rupees social security to workers, insurance scheme, farmers’ debt waiver, price support (MSP), legal provision of 1 lakh rupees per year for women have found great resonance with the people.

Congress thanked people for coming out to vote in large numbers to save the nation and save the constitution.

The Gujarat Congress Chief Shaktisinh Gohil also expressed grief on the death of an employee and a voter during polling.
